Facilities

Considering its remote location, Danum is extremely well appointed. Various types of accommodation are available including serviced en-suite rooms, self-contained chalets, a hostel and a built camp. The chalets, hostel and camp having cooking facilities for those who prefer to self cater, though many scientists choose to eat at the Danum Valley resthouse.

The Field Centre has a network of PCs with full-time broadband on-line access, a satellite telephone system, laboratories, a superb specialist library and a fleet of four-wheel drive vehicles. Details of these facilities are in the drop down menu associated with this page.

How to Apply?
SEARRP is open to all scientists from Malaysia, SE Asia, the UK and Europe who plan to do research at the Danum Valley Field Centre.
